Cancer Care Coming to Bullitt County in 2026
UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center & the Center for Rural Cancer Education and Research are coming to the UofL Health – South Hospital Campus in Bullitt County
A new UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center location is coming to Bullitt County in 2026. The same sub-specialty expertise of the multidisciplinary cancer teams downtown will be closer to home for residents of South Central and Western Kentucky.
The Center for Rural Cancer Education and Research will serve as a network base for clinical trials, enhanced nursing/physician educational programs, cancer screening and outreach with partnering oncologists throughout the region. The goal is to train health care workers from medically underserved communities who will then take information back to their communities.
Residents of South Central and Western Kentucky will have closer access to compassionate, innovative, patient-centered cancer care in this new regional cancer center via:

- Oncology Pharmacy
- Diagnostic Imaging Suite
- Outpatient Laboratory
