UofL Health – Frazier Rehab Institute Brain Injury Program aims to restore individuals to optimal levels of physical, cognitive and emotional recovery following brain injury. The program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Rehab Facilities (CARF), also focuses on prevention and community awareness and wellness through community partnerships. This includes providing our patients and community with community support and resources and support groups.

The program serves patients of all ages and at all stages of recovery. We treat both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury survivors and even serve patients with low levels of consciousness in our EMERGE program. Because each brain injury is different, the program designed to meet the needs of each patient will also be different based on the physical impairments, behavioral challenges, cognitive capacity and personality. The ultimate goal across our programs is to restore an individual’s functional independence while re-integrating them into their homes and community in meaningful ways.
