UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute’s Brain Injury Program offers comprehensive services to traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury patients of all ages and at all stages of recovery – from a coma to mild brain injury. Our rehab team has clinicians specializing in the treatment of pediatric and adult brain injuries, including:
- Anoxic or hypoxic events (lack of oxygen to the brain)
- Exposure to toxic substances
- Brain tumors
- Traumatic brain injury
- Mild Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion
In 2022, Frazier Rehab's Brain Injury program provided inpatient rehab services to 379 patients, representing approximately 19% of all Frazier Rehab admissions:
- 51 pediatric patients ages 0-17
- 117 adults ages 18-44
- 102 adults ages 45-64
- 108 adults ages 65 and over
The NeuroRehab Program (Outpatient Brain Injury Program) provided services to 270 patients with acquired brain injury in 2021.
The average length of stay for patients with a brain injury diagnosis is about 2 weeks (16.5 days).
UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute welcomes all commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and KY Medicaid, and we accept the negotiated rate established between Frazier and your insurance company.
