Family Medicine Resident Physicians
UofL Physicians – Family Medicine is proud to serve as a training site for resident physicians from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Located in Medical Plaza 1 on the UofL Health – Mary & Elizabeth Hospital campus, doctors here have graduated from medical school and are now completing three additional years of specialized training in the sub-specialty of family medicine.
Our residents who will be seeing you during your visit are:
- Fully-licensed medical doctors
- Closely supervised by experienced faculty
physicians - Trained to care for patients of all ages and a wide range of health conditions
Why You Might See a Different Doctor Each Visit
Because our resident physicians train here for three years, they graduate and move on to independent practices once they complete their residency training. New physicians join us each year to continue this cycle of learning and service.
What this means to our patients:
- Your doctor may change over time
- You might not see the same physician at each visit
We understand continuity is important, and we work hard to ensure every doctor is up-to-date on your health and care needs.
Your Care is Still Continuous
Though you may see different physicians at times, you may be assured that all our family medicine physicians:
- Have full access to your medical records
- Work together as a team to deliver seamless, high-quality care
- Can manage your ongoing health needs
We are fully committed to your health and value the trust you place in us. We are honored to care for you and your family.
