UofL Hospital Trauma Social Workers will lead the R.I.S.E. Club (Resiliency in a Supportive Environment) at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana. This club will hold support groups for teens and kids to help young people process grief and loss, learn coping skills, and establish peer connections.

Meetings held on the following times, dates and locations:

  • Teens’ Group (ages 13-18) | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Kids’ Group (ages 6-12) | 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

First Friday of the Month | Shawnee Boys & Girls Club

  • September 7
  • October 5
  • November 2
  • December 7

Second Friday of the Month | Parkland Boys & Girls Club

  • September 14
  • October 12
  • November 9
  • December 14

Third Friday of the Month | Newburg Boys & Girls Club

  • September 21
  • October 19
  • November 16
  • December 21

Special note: Support groups will not be conducted if JCPS cancels school on any of these days.
