LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana (RMHCK) and UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute are celebrating the grand reopening of the Ronald McDonald Family Room Program on the pediatric floor.
The current Ronald McDonald Family Room Program, located on the pediatric floor, will move to a new space down the hall, featuring upgraded amenities.
This upgraded Ronald McDonald Family Room Program provides a place of retreat and relaxation for parents and family members while their child receives care at Frazier Rehab. The room is equipped with comfortable seating, snacks and beverages and cable TV.
“To have a place like that and the La Rosa Lounge to just get away where they could just do some crafts and art and just get away from the hospital room setting and all the doctors and therapists and everything like that,” said Jake Gambrel, a Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana family. “It’s been phenomenal.”
“Since the creation of the first day room in 2006, our longstanding partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities has made such a difference to our patients and has been a huge support to our team,” Frazier Rehabilitation Institute CEO Dan Hudson said. “We are so appreciative of their ongoing commitment to Frazier Rehab.”
