LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UofL Health is now the region’s preferred provider for cancer treatment, heart care, physical therapy, sports medicine and transplants, according to NRC Health. NRC Health partners with 75% of the 200 largest health systems, representing more than 10,000 health care facilities and listening to more than 20 million consumer voices annually.

For the past 40 years, UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center has been working hard to change Kentucky’s high rate of cancer through state-of-the-art clinical care, research, education and outreach programs. This hard work has resulted in national recognition by the preeminent cancer care quality program in the U.S., the Commission on Cancer. The Brown Cancer Center utilizes a multidisciplinary treatment approach so that patients get the most specialized, quality care. As an academic health care system, patients gain access to experimental cancer therapeutics and diagnostics, plus the largest cancer trials program in the region.
UofL Health – Heart Hospital at Jewish Hospital, is the area’s only academic hospital exclusively dedicated to comprehensive, innovative, quaternary heart care. UofL Health – Sports Medicine, is the official health care provider of the Louisville Cardinals, the official sports medicine partner for Louisville City FC, Racing Louisville FC and the youth academies. The UofL Health team provides coverage for 13 high schools as well as the University of Louisville’s club and recreational sports with board-certified sports medicine physicians who are pioneers in leading techniques and innovation. At UofL Health – Trager Transplant Center, more patients leave the center every year with a renewed lease on life than any other program in the region. UofL Health is proud to be the only center in Kentuckiana offering all five types of solid organ transplants—kidney, pancreas, liver, heart and lung. It is also nationally recognized for performing Kentucky’s first adult heart, pancreas, heart-lung and liver transplants.
