I always appreciate Dr. Smith's thoroughness. Whenever I email him with questions, he is quick to respond.

Dr. Clay Smith has the best bedside manner and personality of any physician I have seen or worked with. I have been in healthcare for twenty years and he is the most thorough physician I have ever seen.

Dr. Smith has been the best primary care physician I have had. He is friendly and listens, but he is also efficient in the check-up time. The office team have also been friendly, and they seem to work together well. I have recommended this practice to a number of friends.

Dr. Clayton Smith was very professional and answered all of my questions in ways that were easy to understand. Explained all of the medications I had questions about. I truly feel that I'm in better hands with him as my primary care physician and really appreciate how he went above and beyond.

The provider is a very good listener.

Dr. Smith is always great. I feel very comfortable with him and am pleased with his care.

My insurance changed and so I returned to this practice after three years absent. Therefore, he did not have all my past medical information as a result.

My provider misread my lab results from a July blood draw and gave me the wrong treatment for an infection. So as of my check-up this month, I apparently still had the infection and now have to go through another course of treatment. While not a fatal error by any means, this has left me concerned about my provider's ability to accurately assess my health, read my chart, and provide proper treatment going forward. I have otherwise had good experiences with this provider, but the office as a whole seems to treat chart information haphazardly. This is not the first incident I have had where an incorrect treatment was attempted. I have also had a nurse try to give me a testosterone injection when I had not been prescribed one.

Excellent staff and clean facility!

This office provides excellent and efficient care. It's always on time and I've never had to wait for more than a few minutes. My experience in lab for blood work this time was excellent as well.

I was surprised that Dr. Clayton did not examine me (e.g., listen to heart or lungs). While it is possible that my recently testing positive for COVID was the reason, he did not explain this omission.

Everyone in the practice is very friendly, helpful and they you as you are the only patient in the office. Also, they appear enjoyed all around them and their job.

As usual, Dr. Smith was very thorough and he did a good job explaining my medical situation in a manner that I could understand.

The provider ordered labs to be drawn for me, but this clinic's lab tech had left for the day. So one of the receptionists walked me to another clinic in the building where the lab techs had stayed late, where they drew my labs. Very helpful.

This is my fourth year with this practice and with Dr. Smith. I have been impressed and pleased with the level of care provided.

I have met Dr Clayton Smith once but my impression of him is nothing but amazing. He cares and is very detailed in his work. And that is what a sick person needs to feel secured and reassuring.

I got there early for my appointment at 3:45 p.m. Because you're told to come 15 minutes early. I got called back to a room at 4:10. The provider didn't come into the room until 4:51 p.m. The provider's office closes at 5 so I felt rushed to talk about what I wanted to talk about. It feels absolutely absurd that my insurance is charged for a 1 hour appointment when I received a VERY late, 5 minute appointment. Also, every week I go into his office to receive a testosterone injection and the woman who does it is frustrating. She takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes to get to me when another lady only used to take at the most 15 minutes to get to me. The woman who now gives my injections (I think her name may be Tammy?), she doesn't squeeze the fat in my stomach for the injection and then after she is done, she doesn't give me a bandaid? I feel uncomfortable to ask her for one because I have never had to ask a nurse to give me a bandaid after receiving an Injection? The most unprofessional nurse I have encountered. Overall, I haven't had the best encounters with this physician and his staff. They seem very unorganized, lazy, and a tad rude.

I am very pleased with Dr. Smith as my provider. For the first time in a long time I feel confident in the care that I am receiving and I trust that Dr. Smith will always have my best interests in mind when it comes to my health care. I have already recommended him to members of family, as well as friends. Best doctor I've seen by a long shot. The other medical and office staff at this particular location have always been exceptionally pleasant during my visits. I have been treated with the kindness and respect that I would expect. The professionals at U of L Internal Medicine, in my opinion, go above and beyond and definitely deserve to be recognized!
