She received her medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences before completing her residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Internal Medicine. Dr. Fakunle then went on to complete her fellowship with Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism. She has been in practice for more than 30 years.
