I was very satisfied with the level of care provided and felt very comfortable talking with her (Dr. Sushma Chandan) about my care.

Appointment scheduling requested that we arrive at 7:40AM for an 8AM appointment. Staff apparently were in the back but did not turn on office lights or open the door until staff from another office saw patients standing in the hallway. Had I not been there, another patient also waiting in the hallway (elderly) may have left, thinking they were in the wrong place. NOT professional. NOT welcoming. NOT cool.

This doctor obviously did not read my medical file at all, treated me like a child, did not read the medical report on my MRI that says I have physical deformities and damage to my spine. This doctor came in after her student doctor and overrode everything he said. The student doctor listened to me very carefully and had obviously been reading my file. He had come up with an excellent game plan to deal with my issues. His boss, this doctor, took less than five minutes to walk in and tell me my problem is that I need to go on a diet and exercise. No shit, I would be exercising and dieting if I could stand up long enough to walk without my back popping out of place where the two herniated discs are. She at no point would listen to me about the physical damage seen on my recent MRI that was caused by a massive soccer ball size tumor that crushed my spine and my intestines for multiple years before they found it. Why didn't they find it, because they told me I was fat and to diet and exercise. You can't diet when you don't eat because you have constant Gastro-paresis. If you can't eat and you are medically malnourished, how do you exercise? When medically malnourished, how do you eat a diet that is full of food? When I can't digest anything but nutritional supplement shakes I cannot diet because I am not consuming actual food. I've played 4 years of collegiate sports in school and yet this doctor would not believe me that I know how to stretch. This doctor gave me a bullshit packet of paper telling me to do stuff I either physically can't do or already are doing in my exercise routine of stretching. She would not take anything I said seriously. Furthermore she overrode and silenced her student who is was doing a magnificent job and trying to stand up for me because he actually read and listened. He didn't treat me like a petulant child who didn't understand the difference between a vegetable and a cookie. I take extreme prejudice to this behavior of making me feel like I sound like a simpleton, or ignoring the fact that I grew up on a vegetable farm. She did not understand that I can't eat half the things I want to eat because I cannot digest it physically. My favorite food in the world is salad and I can't eat any salad because, I regret it every time from the inability to digest 95% of the ingredients. At this point in my life, I would probably agree to kill someone if it meant, I could digest a salad. My digestive system has even more issues because of my spine not being able to hold my body upright correctly so the intestines can function. I can't eat if it doesn't function. I can't exercise if it doesn't function. She repeatedly ignored what I was telling her about physical therapy . I had to quit physical therapy for my shoulder because my back wouldn't stop popping out of place. And when I say out of place, I mean it changes its physical shape throughout the day. If this doctor would simply have read the MRI report she should have understood how bad the physical damage to my spine is. If I don't have pain relief or treatment, then I cannot exercise and I cannot eat. When I say pain relief I'm not speaking necessarily about any particular treatment. I'm asking for what can we do for this problem that we've just identified actually is a visible problem during recent imaging. This doctor failed to do anything useful kneecapped her student and sent me away with an inability to function. I don't know if this was a problem because of a cultural difference, or an age difference, but I am not one of her grandchildren and I am not an idiot. I was treated like I was a child and an idiot, and so was her student. I will never visit this practice again, not because I'm angry because I'm afraid. I can't trust this woman who doesn't listen and doesn't read. I can't listen to someone who treats me as if I can't think or tell the truth. She is a disgrace and shouldn't be in your practice. She's teaching terrible habits of patient interaction to any student doctor or staff she encounters.
