We also partner with many UofL Health facilities to bring expert brain and spine care close to home. Our Comprehensive Spine Center at UofL Health – Medical Center Northeast offers specialized care for patients with chronic back pain and complex spinal conditions. The center is led by a team of board-certified neurosurgeons who are fellowship-trained in complex spinal neurosurgery and spinal neuro-oncology.
Our physical medicine & rehabilitation specialists oversee care at UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, a state-of-the-art rehab facility. They also offer specialty injections at UofL Health – UofL Hospital – Multi-Specialty Clinic.
Revolutionary care for epilepsy starts with our neurologists. We have a dedicated epilepsy monitoring unit at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital as part of our Level IV (highest) Epilepsy Center designed to capture an event or seizure and medical imaging to truly diagnose whether a seizure is occurring. Our team has also received multiple distinctions across a wide variety of organizations, including the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and ALS Association.
Brain & Spine Institute offers the first Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Kentucky and the 20th in the nation at UofL Health – UofL Hospital. This accreditation recognizes our ability to provide the most comprehensive stroke treatment available.
