UofL Health – Jewish Hospital has a comprehensive robotic joint replacement program that includes guided pre-admission testing, education and rehab after the procedure, in an effort to get patients back to maximum function as quickly as possible.
A relatively new, unique surgical treatment – hip preservation – is now offered at UofL Health. Designed to delay or prevent the development of arthritis of the hip joint, hip preservation helps patients delay and even avoid the need for a hip replacement.
The Orthopedic Trauma team at UofL Health – UofL Hospital offers a comprehensive range of specialized orthopedic care from limb-saving procedures to hip replacements, musculoskeletal oncology, hand surgery, hip and knee arthroplasty and foot and ankle surgery.
UofL Health – Mary & Elizabeth Hospital offers a dedicated orthopedic unit with a unique complement of care, including shoulder, spine, hip, knee and foot and ankle specialists. Patients are encouraged to participate in education prior to their procedures to prepare for every stage of the surgical and recovery process. The shoulder program has recently been received accreditation for quality and patient safety.
UofL Health – Sports Medicine is now the Official Health Care Provider for University of Louisville Athletics. Community athletes can take advantage of sports medicine expertise in most of our orthopedic locations. Our Cardinal Station location is the home of Cardinal Athletics care and our Sports Medicine Urgent Care is located at UofL Health – Medical Center Northeast.
