This allows our physicians to develop a personal, one-on-one relationship with our patients to provide the highest level of 24/7 care and response.
How can I join Concierge Medicine?

What is the cost of Concierge Medicine?

How will I be billed?
UofL Physicians will bill patients on an annual basis. Patients will be required to sign a membership agreement. Payment will need to be made to ensure concierge services over the course of 12 months.
Will insurance pay for Concierge Medicine?
No, insurance will not pay for the annual membership fee, but insurance will be billed for any medical services you receive such as laboratory services, medical imaging, surgery or rehabilitative care. Patients will be responsible for any fees the insurance company determines to be the patient’s responsibility.
Are Medicare patients eligible?
Yes, Medicare patients are eligible for concierge medicine, and we will continue to bill Medicare for all covered services. Your Medicare co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance will still apply.
Is my annual fee tax deductible?
Possibly. If you itemize expenses on your tax return and have unreimbursed medical care expenses that exceed a certain percentage of your income. Check with your tax advisor to learn more as it pertains to your individual circumstance.
What if I pay for an annual membership, but don’t use the service during the year – will I receive a refund?
No. Your annual fee covers the cost of access to your concierge medicine physician even if you choose not to use the service.
Will my primary care provider be available if I am out of town or traveling for an extended period of time?
Yes. One of the best benefits of having a concierge medicine physician is that you receive personal 24/7 care wherever you are. Your physician is also supported by other UofL Physicians concierge medicine providers so even if he/she is not available, you will still have another physician to provide these same services.
What if I need specialty care?
When necessary, your concierge medicine physician will help you find an appropriate specialist and ensure that a referral is made to help coordinate your care. These specialists may be within the UofL Health and UofL Physicians network or another health system. Our goal is to always provide the highest level of appropriate care for our patients.
