When it comes to your prescriptions, you may not always want to go into your pharmacy to get them. Sometimes you may be sick and don’t want to spread germs to others or you may not want to go outside in the cold. Many pharmacies, including UofL Health pharmacies, have convenient options for you to get the prescriptions you need.
Curbside Pickup
Walgreens, Walmart and other pharmacies allow customers to use curbside pickup, where they can park outside the store and have their prescriptions brought to them.
UofL Health offers CARx Curbside Pickup at the UofL Health – Jackson Street Outpatient Center and UofL Health – Mary & Elizabeth Hospital pharmacies. This service is available at the Jackson Street Outpatient Center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays, and at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
For the Jackson Street Outpatient Center:
- Park in one of the spots in front.
- Call 502-562-4768 to let Pharmacy staff know you have arrived.
- Pharmacy staff will bring your prescription to you and have you sign for it.
For Mary & Elizabeth Hospital:
- Park at the CARx sign in front.
- Call 502-367-3315 to let Pharmacy staff know you have arrived.
- Pharmacy staff will bring your prescription to you and have you sign for it.
We can sign you up for text alerts that notify you when your medication is ready for pickup.
Shipping
An increasing number of digital pharmacies are emerging, allowing customers to have their prescriptions shipped to them. Also, other pharmacies, including UofL Health pharmacies, can gladly ship your prescriptions.
UofL Health pharmacies can ship your prescriptions via FedEx to your home or other applicable street address. FedEx shipping is provided Monday through Thursday to addresses in Kentucky and Indiana only. We can sign you up to receive text alerts that notify you when your medication is ready for shipping.
