How No Cost Tuition Works
- Full and part-time exempt & non-exempt employees are eligible to receive free tuition, and their domestic partners, spouses and dependent children are also eligible to utilize the benefit.
- This program covers all undergraduate programs at the University of Louisville.
- Participants will have tuition and student activity fees paid by UofL Health at the rate of an in-state resident student upon enrollment of a given semester.

Job Summary:
Medical assisting duties include patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections and using the electronic health record.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain medical history, triage patients, record vitals.
- Reconcile medication list in EHR
- Responds timely and appropriately to tasks.
- Gives injections per physician order (i.e. Hepatitis A&B, PPD and flu vaccine)
- Reports any abnormal results to physician immediately (i.e. labs, etc.)
- Maintains clean exam rooms.
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Adheres to organizational policy and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), required.
- Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization. (Such as: CMA, CCMA or RMA), required.
- Medical Assisting Degree, preferred.
- Minimum one year of working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office, preferred.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association required.
