Stop the Bleed Training at Southwick Community Center

Please join us for this free Stop the Bleed training for community members! There is no advance registration required for this FREE event. This training will be on September 20, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Southwick Community Center.

UofL Health – UofL Hospital is part of a nationwide campaign called Stop the Bleed, which provides bystanders with the simple steps they can take in an emergency situation to stop life-threatening bleeding. No matter how rapid the arrival of emergency responders, bystanders will always be the first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so it is vital that bystanders know how to intervene.
