UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center at Medical Center Northeast, located off Old Henry Road across from Publix, offers the same academic expertise and the same team of providers who see patients at our downtown location. This means the most promising cancer treatments for all types of cancer, including access to National Cancer Institute and industry-sponsored clinical trials, are offered close to home.
The Resource Center, part of the SOAR On Loyd Family Wellness Program, offers a variety of therapies and oncology comfort items to go beyond typical medical treatment. Paid for by generous donors, the Resource Center offers free massage therapy, music therapy, art therapy, counseling services, scarves, hats, wigs, etc. to make patients more comfortable and complement the healing journey.
Early detection is the best protection
Genius™ 3D mammography is now available at the Breast Care Center at Medical Center Northeast, offering convenient breast cancer screening and diagnostics. The technology is clinically proven to increase the detection of breast cancers, and also decrease the number of women asked to return for additional testing.
Medical Center Northeast also offers low dose chest CT screening for lung cancer and access to a variety of academic and community-based primary care and specialty physicians.
