Support groups offered for trauma, stroke survivors and families

Trauma Family Support Group

Do you have a family member or friend who has experienced a traumatic injury? Would you like to connect with others who know what you are going through? UofL Hospital’s Trauma Center offers a FREE support group here inside the hospital for family and friends of trauma injury survivors.

Date: Every Wednesday – UofL Hospital, Second Floor Chapel, 1-2 p.m.

The Trauma Family Support Group is facilitated by professionals and is a place for participants to freely share experiences, coping strategies, concerns, helpful tips and resources.

Trauma Survivor Support Group

UofL Hospital’s Trauma Center offers a FREE support group for all individuals who have survived a traumatic injury. The support group is facilitated by the Trauma Center’s social workers.

Date: Every Friday, UofL Hospital, Second Floor Chapel: 4-5 p.m.

Stroke Survivor and Caregiver Support Group

UofL Hospital’s Stroke Program is now offering a FREE support group for stroke survivors and caregivers.

Date: Third Friday of every month, Noon-2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
