Faraaz Rahman, M.D.

Born in Louisville and raised in nearby Jeffersonville, Indiana, Faraaz Rahman, M.D., is a Structural Interventional Cardiologist. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2011. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He obtained his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship from Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center/Milwaukee Heart Institute in Wisconsin, his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and his Structural Heart and Transcatheter Valve Intervention Fellowship from Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic School of Medicine. Dr. Rahman serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and as the Associate Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training program. He is also the Director of the Structural Heart and Valve Division. His special area of expertise and training is transcatheter heart valve repair and replacement (including TAVR and Mitral Clip).
