Melis Kabaalioglu Guner, M.D., FEBO, is a uveitis and medical retina specialist. After her residency, she worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist for two years, then she completed a one-year research fellowship at UTSW, one-year uveitis fellowship at Mayo Clinic and one-year medical retina fellowship at the University of Kentucky.

Philosophy

"I'm particularly interested in diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and uveitis. I also enjoy performing cataract surgeries and involving in the education of residents. I've been working on many research projects since my residency. A couple examples are imaging features of choroidal melanoma, artificial intelligence in diabetic retinopathy, angiography and flare correlation in uveitis."
