Rachel Way, APRN

In her early 20s Rachel Way, APRN was given a pretty life altering diagnosis and within the course of her treatment she had a very negative experience with one of the providers involved in her care. She made her want to seek out an education in the health sciences to become a better advocate for herself and her loved ones in the future. Way began as a pharmacy tech, then a medical assistant, then a nurse, and finally an APRN. Having the worked in the various facets within a health care system has given her a truly unique perspective and helps her fully appreciate all the hard work her support staff provides to help her be successful.

Philosophy

"My goal is to provide high-quality, prompt, competent, compassionate care, but most importantly, collaborative care. By that I mean not only with other providers and support staff involved in an individual patient’s care but with the patient as well. It is important to me that my patients feel seen, heard and understood. That they understand why we need to do what we need to do to diagnosis and treat them, and are motivated to be involved in their care. I want my patients to feel as though they are more than just a diagnosis, and that I am here to advocate for them in any way that I can while they are under my care."
