More than 3,500 people received the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccine on the opening day of Kentucky’s largest drive-thru vaccination site. UofL Health is running the site in Cardinal Stadium’s Purple Lot. The site has the ability to vaccinate 4,000 people per day. Governor Andy Beshear, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, University of Louisville President Dr. Neeli Bendapudi and other local leaders joined UofL Health for the April 12 kickoff of the mass vaccination site.
