Stop the Bleed Training

UofL Health – UofL Hospital J. David Richardson Trauma Center is proud to collaborate with CC’s Kitchen, Queer KY and the Humana Foundation to offer this Stop the Bleed Training for our LGBTQ community. This training will be held at CC’s Kitchen (651 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40202).

- Bleeding Control Kits given to each participant

UofL Health – UofL Hospital is part of a nationwide campaign called Stop the Bleed, which provides bystanders with the simple steps they can take in an emergency situation to stop life-threatening bleeding. No matter how rapid the arrival of emergency responders, bystanders will always be the first on the scene. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so it is vital that bystanders know how to intervene.
