UofL Health – Peace Hospital is the only hospital in the state of Kentucky that has a behavioral program designed to treat highly acute female adolescents. Our unit is designed to provide acute care for females ages 12 to 18 that display highly aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors.

The Youth Intensive Services unit is a self-contained therapeutic setting that offers individual, family and group behavioral programming, psychotherapy, psycho-education, recreation and art therapy. We also offer substance use treatment. We provide 24-hours-a-day video monitoring. Adolescents are enrolled at Peace Academy, a fully accredited Jefferson County Public School on the unit.
