With your support, we will make more breakthroughs, reduce the deaths caused by all cancers and make it a disease of the past.
Together, We Can Fight Cancer and Win.
Kentucky is at ground zero with the highest death rates of cancer in the country. Brown Cancer Center was founded so that people wouldn’t have to travel to get treatment, but instead would have access to the most sophisticated cancer care in the world.
We offer groundbreaking clinical trials and approaches that hospitals around the world wait years to learn about. With top academic researchers and oncologists, we are at the forefront of innovation, testing new drugs that activate the immune system. These breakthrough immunotherapies are designed to be less toxic and save more lives.
We have proven that we can fight cancer and win. Melanoma is the number one cause of cancer-related deaths of women in their 20s. In the U.S. alone, 10,000 adults die of melanoma every year, which equates to more than once every hour. Through clinical research done right here at Brown Cancer Center, we have reduced the three-year melanoma death rate from 95% to only 20%. This means more people, young and old, can be with their family, pursue their careers and enjoy their lives.
There are opportunities to support every facet of our work at Brown Cancer Center from the search for cures and educating the next generation of doctors, to addressing patient barriers to care, cancer prevention and early screening efforts. Have questions about giving back?
