More important than the amenities we offer is the level of care and expertise we provide to the patients who choose Frazier Rehab Institute for their care.

Our experienced team provides services in a wide variety of rehabilitation programs including, but not limited to: brain injury, movement disorders, pediatrics, spinal cord medicine and stroke recovery. 

In cooperation with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Frazier is the nation's lead center for the NeuroRecovery network which brings in activity-based therapy to include locomotor training in our community. This clinical and research expertise is delivered with care and compassion by our team.

Facility Features

Frazier Rehab Institute is a 15-story, state-of-the-art, inpatient acute rehab facility located on the downtown Louisville medical campus. The facility includes select outpatient therapy programs, as well.

Accredited by the Joint Commission, Frazier Rehab Institute combines clinical expertise with a unique and well-equipped facility to offer the most advanced rehab therapies in an attractive, comfortable environment. Features include:

  • 27,000 sq. ft. of space on each floor
  • Complimentary patient valet parking at facility entrance
  • Spacious and comfortable private and semi-private patient rooms equipped with bathroom, plasma screen television and Wi-Fi access
  • Private family conference and education space
  • Safe patient handling equipment such as overhead lifts for standing, walking and transfers

  • Aquatic therapy pool

Additionally, our pediatric unit hosts a:

Our treatment areas have been specifically designed and equipped to serve the therapeutic needs of our patients. The therapeutic approaches and equipment at Frazier Rehab Institute address problems related to balance, sitting, mobility, self-care, vision, cognition, behavior, emotions, communication and swallowing. Each patient receives an individualized multi-disciplinary evaluation and treatment plan that may include the use of the following interventions to achieve mutual goals:

  • Functional electrical stimulation
  • Dynavision for visual perception
  • Biometrics for upper extremity rehab
  • Upper extremity robots for improved movement
  • Fluoroscopy and endoscopy for swallow evaluation
  • Ramps, curbs, stairs and parallel bars for ambulation therapy
