UofL Health – UofL Hospital – Center for Women & Infants
The Center for Women & Infants at UofL Health – UofL Hospital offers services to meet your needs for low-risk and high-risk pregnancies. The center is a designated Baby-Friendly birthing facility by Baby-Friendly USA, which is awarded to birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding. The center also houses a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to provide care for babies born too early and those that are too sick to be cared for in couplet care.
Additionally, UofL Hospital is the only one in Kentucky dedicated to treating placenta accreta spectrum, offering comprehensive care for mothers facing this complex condition.
In December 2024, UofL Hospital was ranked “high performing” by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospital’s for Maternity Care (uncomplicated pregnancy). UofL Hospital is one of three facilities in Kentucky and the only Louisville facility to earn this designation.
