The UofL Health – APP Fellowship is a 12-month postgraduate training for advanced practice providers in the acute care setting.
UofL Health Advanced Practice Provider Acute Care Fellowship is accredited as an Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.

Program Overview
- For new or experienced acute care certified APRN or PA
- Two Fellows hired per year
- Salary and benefits are provided
- 10 months on core rotations and two months of elective time
- Opportunity to earn advanced certifications and CEs
Candidate Requirements
- Has graduated from an approved graduate program
- Has taken and passed licensing examination
The application period is open year-round. Start dates are based on program needs and applicant availability.

- Nephrology
- Transplant Nephrology
- Cardiovascular ICU
- Adult Cardiac Surgery

Elective Rotations

- Palliative Care
- Inpatient Diabetic Care
- Interventional Radiology
- Emergency Room
- Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant
- Infectious Diseases
