At UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center, we believe knowledge is key to treating cancer. That’s why our model is focused on multidisciplinary care that is customized, comprehensive and coordinated.

Our teams are based on your cancer diagnosis so the physicians treating you work all day, every day, only with your type of cancer. They are sub-subspecialists – meaning not only are they trained in their cancer specialty (medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, etc.), but they have extra specialty training in the area of the body where you have been diagnosed.

Our teams meet in a weekly conference, bringing all their knowledge to one table to discuss each patient’s particular diagnosis and determine the best course of treatment. This approach ensures each patient receives the ideal order and combination of treatment.

Services available at our Brown Cancer Center – Medical Center Northeast location include:

  • Multi-disciplinary clinics
  • Chemotherapy
  • Infusion services
  • Pharmacy
  • Private patient treatment rooms

For all information, referrals and appointments, call 502-562-HOPE (4673). The toll-free number is 1-855-562-HOPE (4673).

This line operates Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can help you decide the best place to start your cancer journey or help you find where you need to go for a biopsy or examination. Our HOPE line is also a stepping stone to reach a nurse navigator who will guide you through your first appointment and well into your course of treatment.
