The number of people with hemophilia in the United States is estimated to be about 20,000 individuals. While there is currently no cure for hemophilia, there are very effective treatments available.
The UofL Physicians - Hemophilia Treatment Center is now located at UofL Health - Medical Center Northeast. The center provides leading-edge and compassionate care to patients with bleeding disorders including hemophilia, Von Willebrand Disease, platelet disorders and other rare clotting conditions. Most of the bleeding disorders are chronic life-long conditions and our care providers are committed to building long-standing relationships to guide you and your loved ones through every step of care. By partnering with each patient and their family, our center encourages and supports effective treatment to ensure the best possible outcomes.
The UofL Physicians - Hemophilia Treatment Center provides care and coordination for:

- Physical therapy
- Social services
- Psychological support

- Infusion services
- Referrals to health services
Our HTC team of specialists is trained and certified to provide comprehensive and therapeutic services to elevate the quality of life for each patient. The goal is to help patients navigate through health services and keep them active and productive.
