Thanks to UofL Health’s major investment in the Shelbyville Hospital, the latest in diagnostic imaging is available, close to home.
The hospital recently installed a new 128-slice Siemens Definition Edge CT scanner, now providing patients quicker scan times, improved image quality, and decreased radiation. New 3D Mammography technology was added for improved breast cancer detection while reducing the need for follow-up imaging.
Additionally, new ultrasound and x-ray technology are installed to ensure patients and their providers have the best quality digital images and faster processing.
We’ve made these major improvements to provide more care and convenience for our community. Earlier detection, quicker treatment, are all backed by the expertise of UofL Health, the region’s leading academic research health care system.
