Community Engagement at UofL Health
UofL Health is dedicated to transforming the health of our patients, community and state. To accomplish this, the health care system dedicates activities and resources to community health improvement to provide better access to care and promotion of health and well-being. As a nonprofit health care system, UofL Health completes a community health needs assessment (CHNA) every three years and develops and implements activities and practices to address the top priority needs of our communities.
The Community Engagement Office was formed in the spring of 2022 to solidify UofL Health’s role as an anchor in the community it serves. This work includes completing and communicating the community health needs assessment and tracking community-engaged work across all our hospital facilities. The linked pages provide the CHNAs, Implementation Strategies and Community Benefit information.
