UofL Health will be holding their Summer Teen Program again this year. For all programs, teens must be at least 16 years of age.
For UofL Hospital and Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, the program will run over 2 sessions, each being 2 weeks long. You must be available for all 10 days of the session you choose.
- Session 1: June 10 – 21 (Monday – Friday 8am – 2pm)
- Session 2: July 15 – 26 (Monday – Friday 8am – 2pm)
Students will volunteer each morning, then do an educational session on a different medical department each afternoon.

You will also need:
- to submit a brief essay explaining why it is important to you to be accepted into this program, a reference letter from a coach, teacher or employer
- a permission slip from parents that will be provided once application is received.
- to provide medical information – immunization records and 2 TB tests.
For Shelbyville Hospital you may submit your application by May 17, 2024 and will be contacted for any additional information needed.
