Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) are required of nonprofits hospitals every three years. The last CHNA for each of the UofL Health hospitals was completed in 2022. The UofL Health – Organizational Development, Engagement and Inclusion Team is working with area health departments to complete the next assessment.

The purpose of the CHNA is to gain a thorough understanding of the community that we serve to inform our practices and services and break down barriers to care. Once we assess the needs, gaps in health and wellbeing are prioritized and strategies are developed with each of our seven hospitals.

If you have questions, please email us at Community@UofLHealth.org or complete our CHNA form at: UofLHealth.org/About/Community-Engagement/Community-Health-Needs-Assessment-Feedback.

Previous Community Health Needs Assessments are located on the UofL Health website at: UofLHealth.org/About/Community-Engagement/Reports.
